LUANG PRABANG, Laos: For the LGBTQ community in Laos, love’s obstacles do not just lie in the scrutiny and disapproving gazes of others. For some, disparity in treatment for certain ethnic groups can affect the connections they make.

In this not so conventional love story, set in a conservative and communist country, we follow Dorkaor and Yaida as they allow us a glimpse into their relationship and the obstacles they have overcome to be together.

They hope to one day be able to help the LGBTQ community here in Laos receive more support and acceptance as well as share their story, starting with you.
