Walk the streets of Luang Prabang at dawn and you will discover a symbiotic relationship between Buddhist monks and worshippers. With an exchange of spiritual blessings and food, this ritual — known as Sai Bat or Tak Bat — is a sight to behold.

However, tourists often disrupt the ceremony by standing too close to the monks or taking photos with the flash function. Through exclusive interviews with both locals and tourists, learn more about the different perspectives of the alms giving ceremony in the city.
