LUANG PRABANG, Laos: Laotian public schools do not have the capabilities or resources to teach English. Hence Vanxay, who just like many other Laotian students, has to resort to other creative means to study. The film documents her as she attends extra lessons, as well as the activities she engages in an effort to improve her English.

The documentary aims to highlight the trials and tribulations that Laotian students go through in order to realise their dreams of a better future.
